Aesthetics Of Disengagement
2014The project was made during making of the "Under electric clouds" movie, by Aleksei German Jr. around Saint-Petersburg. In terms of an agreement the studio owned all exclusive rights on photo materials which were made on a movie set, including film negatives. Some of my pictures were made so that they didn't say anything about the process of making the movie.
In fact, any photograph which was made by me during working shift automatically wasn't mine. My point of interest here was in this collision of common sense and official document. The quotes of the contract became a sort of water marks of disengaged authorship.
